Your Branding is Your Identity

When we think “branding” most of us think businesses and corporations.

My definition of branding is when businesses and corporations use branding to set themselves apart to potential clients.

The google definition is “Branding is the process of creating a distinct identity for a business in the mind of your target audience and consumers.”

But
What if we created our own branding as our identity to set ourselves apart from others?
What if we created our own branding to create our own individual identity?
What if we created our branding by highlighting our special qualities unique to us?

Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you are not?
Do you know what you like?
Do you know what you don’t like?

Doing the work to know how we want to show up in the world

  • helps us figure out and plan the path we want to take to move forward;
  • creates intentionality when approaching our life; and
  • helps us understand ourselves more so we can show up as our best for ourselves first – then for others.

And, knowing that as time goes by – our branding or identity evolves as we do.

Life will bring us well – LIFE.

When it does, we can be ready to evolve regardless of what life sends our way because we know and understand who we are from the inside out.

I will be turning 65 this year.  My identity is not the same as when I was 25.  Since, I have had 3 kids, 3 grandkids, 2 marriages, 2 jobs, built a business, earned a masters, earned two certifications, got cancer, and recovered from it.  I am now Emy 6.0.

Do you know what your brand is?
What version are you?

I don’t ruminate on the past.  Rather, I look to the future and think what now?

P.S. Do you have obstacles keeping you from moving forward and taking action? Are you looking for a change? Do you want someone to guide you through your journey instead of DIYing it?
