When we think of prevention, we often imagine physical health:
- checkups
- vaccines
- more water
- less food
- more workouts
But prevention goes far beyond the physical — it starts in the mind.

This made me think—what are my barriers that are keeping me stuck, hiding behind “prevention”?
I realized I only have one – FEAR – but, it’s a big one because fear keeps us stuck in unhealthy physical and mental patterns, especially if we believe it’s part of who we are.
So – what if we viewed fear as something to understand, rather than something we accept as “it’s just who I am?”
By understanding our fear and how it affects us, we can decide to change.
See a list of fear patterns below. Some of mine are included. Do any of these resonate for you? If so,
- Identify the fears that drive your decisions.
- Understand where those fears come from.
- Build coping tools so fear no longer dictates your future.
