Parallels in Life and Sports

In this episode returning guest, Courtney Waugh brings in her past as a college basketball player and her present as a therapist and talks about the parallels between life and sports. They discuss when we’re living life in flow is the same as when athletes enter a state of flow when they’re playing. Courtney explains the mental work both in sports and life. She explains how perfectionism can be more detrimental to us in life and to athletes in sports.

They discuss in-depth perfectionism and vulnerability. How athletes deal with vulnerability when they make mistakes in front of an audience.
