Struggling in your relationship can feel overwhelming—especially when communication breaks down, conflicts repeat, or emotional distance grows. Many individuals and couples find themselves stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, unsure how to reconnect or move forward.
That’s where Pete Hermida comes in.
Pete believes that healthy, intimate relationships are the foundation for a meaningful life. He sees relationships as the space where life’s most important transitions unfold—and where growth, healing, and deeper connection are possible. Through couples counseling, he helps clients uncover the emotional patterns shaping their interactions, creating opportunities for healthier communication, stronger boundaries, and deeper self-awareness.
He provides a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where individuals and couples feel truly seen, heard, and understood. His approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique experiences, values, and cultural background.
Pete is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Integrative Couples and Sex Therapy, and EMDR—including the EMDR Couples Protocol. By integrating EMDR into his work, he helps clients process past traumas that may be impacting their present relationships, supporting meaningful healing and growth.
His goal is to help individuals and couples move from conflict to connection—bridging the gap between emotional closeness and intimacy. He ensures that therapy aligns with each client’s core beliefs and worldview, offering services in both English and Spanish, with flexible options for in-person or telehealth sessions.
With Pete, clients find guidance, clarity, and a path toward deeper, more fulfilling relationships.
