Ryan Urzen is an experienced licensed Mental Health Counselor who obtained a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. He previously served as vice-president of the Counseling Student Organization at Nova Southeastern. Additionally, he helped conduct a research study at the Medical University of South Carolina focusing primarily on the trauma treatment currently provided to children and teenagers.
Mr. Urzen provides top-of-the-line mental healthcare. He treats children, teenagers, and adults with a wide variety of mental health issues including grief/bereavement, trauma/PTSD, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar), self-esteem, career-related issues, and attention-related disorders, among many other areas of practice. He has provided care over three years in South Florida through multiple in-home, in-school, and Telehealth programs.
Driven by a passion to help others, he takes pride in providing the best-personalized therapy possible. His goal is to help individuals and families learn the skills needed to effectively cope with stressors, allowing them to function more efficiently in their social, academic, and professional lives.
When not engaged in his passion for improving his client’s mental health, he enjoys both watching and participating in sports, as well as exploring local restaurants.
